Ok I know I’m a week late posting this, but since I had friends in town and since they make up almost 50% of my dedicated readership then I believe I should get a pass for not being able to find the time. Anyways, we made bagels last week. When I realized that it was bagel week I had two thoughts. One was that I don’t really like bagels and the second was that my poor mixer might not survive the bagel dough.
Luckily I have some cool friends with a cooler Kitchen Aid and they let me borrow it. So off we went on bagel making (along with pies and truffles and cakes!) and as for my first thought the bagels were amazing. These were chewy and moist and can we talk about cinnamon streusel topping. AMAZING that is all. So enjoy the pictures and remember if you want the recipe then let me know.
The boiling and baking process was a bit hectic and warm so we didn’t get any pictures but here is the water after all the bagel were boiled.
The bread for this week is brioche so get ready.
